Chris Devlin on International duty last season

Chris Devlin celebrated his call up to the Ireland team by going on an eight goal scoring spree as Brugha beat North Dublin 13-8 in the men's Premier League at Lagan Valley Leisureplex today.
The home team got off to a slow start and trailed 2-3 at the end of the first quarter but in a stop/start game they gradually pulled away and led 10-7 by the end of the third quarter.Thereafter the game petered out for a comfortable enough win.
Brugha gave all of their squad an extensive run and were rewarded with two excellent goals from former Lisburn swimmer Nathan Taylor.Stio McMahon(2) and Johnny Donnelly(1) got the other scores.
This completed a successful week-end after a very understrength women's team had a highly impressive 10-3 win over Donegall Diamonds that included two penalty saves from Hannah Taylor.Deirdre Cassidy(5),Maggie Burlington and Lynn Hanna-Short(2 each) and Catherine Agnew(1) did the scoring.
The men's second team took a step nearer to the Nat League Div 3 title when they easily beat Galway visitors Blackrock 24-1 also at Falls on Saturday night.
