Brugha ‘Master’ Flynn Strikes Gold!

Brugha ‘Master’ Flynn Strikes Gold!

Cathal Brugha’s Gerry Flynn swam in Monaghan Masters gala on 27th January 2018 and posted a record breaking performance to boot. Gerry broke Jack Beatties10 year old Ulster record by clocking a winning time of 1.55.44 for the 100m breaststroke in the 70-75 age category. Gerry also came away with Silver in the 100m freestyle.

Gerry Flynn, an active Brugha member in his youth, now resides in Drogheda and has recently renewed his ties with Cathal Brugha. Gerry, who follows in the illustrious steps of other Brugha Masters such as Liam Goss and the late Rory Delargy, has got the ‘bug’ for Masters Swimming and will be flying the flag for Brugha in the Limerick Master's Gala to be held later this month.

Well done Gerry from everyone at Cathal Brugha!
