Ireland U17 League (Girls)

The hard work that is going on with our girls' teams is beginning to pay dividends if the results of this week-ends' games are anything to go by.
At the start of the season back in September we lost 2-12 to Drogheda and 2-8 to Tribes B .This week-end we followed a 7-7 draw against Tribes B with an 8-7 win over Drogheda.

This was a particularly hard week-end for St.Dominic's Grammar School girls Maria McGuigan and Eva Ramsay who spent Saturday at the University of Limerick in a squad session with the Ireland u.15 panel, before heading across to Dublin for their club games on Sunday.
Maria got five of her teams total along with Catherine Marron who also scored five.Eva got four with the other goal coming from Siun McGurk.
Another Dominican girl, Niamh Fitzsimons may have found a new role as a goalkeeper after an outstanding display of shot stopping and ball distribution.

The other players on a team with no weaknesses were Lauren Fegan,Cara O'Kane and the other two Marron sisters Alice and Phoebe.
