U19 National League: Man of the match was Cathal Brugha goalkeeper Yaseen Akhonzada

Brugha were much too good for a poor Half Moon side when they beat them 20-6 in the National League in Lisburn on Saturday evening.

Half Moon scored the opening goal and that was as good as it got for them. By the time the third quarter had arrived they were 14-1 in arrears.

Brugha were without International duo Stio McMahon and Johnny Donnelly and coach Peter Cassidy made full use of his bench to give first team debuts to teenagers Noel McGuigan,James McDonald and Conor McKee.

In true goalkeeping tradition, international goalkeeper Chris "Hodgy" Hodgkinson thinks he is a lethal goalscorer. He sort of made a decent case when he posted four goals with the rest of the scores coming from Donail O'Dochairtaigh,Des Donnelly(3 each),Aodhan McMahon,Matt Hanna,Nathan Taylor,Stephen Durkan(2 each),Callum Taylor and Darren Donnelly(1 each).
Eva Ramsey went on a six goal scoring spree as the Brugha development squad who play in Div2 of the National League beat a plucky young North Dublin side 13-1.The other scores came from Amy Ross(3),Catherine Marron(2),Maria McGuigan and Olivia McComb(1 each).
