Floating Floor at New Andersonstown Leisure Centre….update!

Cllr Matt Garrett (Chair of the Councils People & Communities Committee) has invited us to meet with him at Belfast City Hall this afternoon to discuss our concerns around the planned omission of a floating floor in Main Pool at the new Andersonstown Leisure Centre’s…..no promises, we’re not there yet!

Meanwhile, thank you everyone for supporting the necessity to install a floating floor at the new Centre’s swimming pool; your response has been tremendous! Since first posting our call for support on Wednesday, we have had over 6,000 views of our Facebook posts, loads of Likes & Shares, emails & tweets confirming online consultation submissions and plenty of supporting comments.

But please let’s not take our ‘foot off the pedal’ just yet, there’s still one day to go before the online consultation period closes and I would strongly urge anyone who has yet to complete the very brief Council survey to do so today.

Let’s continue to make our voice heard and hopefully the new Main Pool facility to be built at Andersonstown will reflect the needs of many users like ourselves and we’ll have our floating floor!
